Today is all about thanking everyone that is at the front line of this COVID-19. At first, I didn’t want to write anything about this – but I need to say something. Thank you for all the Nurses, Doctors, Police Officer, firemen, Paramedics, Truck Driver. People at the Grocery stores, pharmacies HUGE THANK YOU for being there on the front line. Thank you and be safe.
I didn’t know what to write today, so I thought this would be best. Today, my job told me am to work from home, I’m ok with that. But I was also Ok with being at the office because I don’t want to let our team down. You see I work in transport, have been for over 30 years. Wow! 30 years, I’ve been through Montreal Ice storm 1998. We have gone through Sars virus, H1N1 virus, but nothing can explain or how this COVID-19 it’s affecting everyone. So I BEG You all listen to the warnings that they are saying, yes I also thought Nah! this can’t be real it will blow over, but you know what I was wrong. I’m avoiding social media lately because that is all they are talking about. I’m following the rules our province is telling us.
I LOVE NOVA SCOTIA, one of the reasons I moved here was because of the people. Their kindness, their way of life, but what I’ve noticed on the weekend is how surreal this is. People avoiding each other, people afraid to even look and say hi to each other. I miss the warmth that Nova Scotian has. This has put a real crisis on our province and until we can beat this, and bring back the smiles and warmth to this Province I beg you all to do your part STAY HOME IF YOU CAN. Let’s bring the joy this Province gives, I’m proud to be part of. I see how the community comes together also to help out, how they step up and go that extra mile to help your fellow neighbour.
