Good morning my lovely friends,
So I hope you had a fantastic weekend!
You had time to do the things you wanted. Us on the other hand, I had so much I wanted to do, and I was hoping that we would have had 3/4 of the deck finished. Meaning remove the deck boards.
You see we live in Atlantic Canada and the weather this weekend was not the best. Saturday we were able to do a little damage to it but not enough per say.
A friend of ours came over for a few hours to help us, Grateful for his help. As the men tried to remove the wet rotten wood, I was stacking the wood behind the shed. I don’t mind physical work, it takes me longer that a man for sure.
I don’t have the strength I once did, but I’m still no pushover. So if this Pearson girl has an idea, you can bet it will be done. The deck planks, on the other hand, provide a problem since they have been nailed at every foot.
Trust me, that deck was strong, but the wood rots with time. That is the task at hand. We’re attempting to preserve the frame if it can be saved. We know that certain components will need to be replaced, particularly those closest to the earth.
We tried the circular saw to see if we can cut in between, but the wood is so wet it not working. So yeah it’s a challenge, as we are trying to removed the deck boards before they come an install the new pool.
So Sunday morning I was determined to go at it again, but weather was not our friend Rained all day!
Oh well, re-group so clean a little of the garage and watched Netflix and read a little. Awww that Mr. Darcy. Yup, I watched Pride and Prejudice. Oh, have you all been watching Queen of the South, must watch for sure.
That is my weekend all, so with that I wish you all a fabulous Monday. All comes down on what you can do believe that you can and you are unstoppable, once you set your mind to it.
Cheers
Hugs
Brenda
